Growlithe is a cute, hard-working little pup and it is commonly seen as a pet and police dog. But its mane-like tufts of fur and tiger-like stripes hint at more interesting inspirations.

Toad’s Turnpike is less of a racetrack and more of a busy highway. Karts probably shouldn’t drive on a public road at night, but that hasn’t stopped Mario and his pals.

Today’s Mario Kart track takes us to the beach. A Cheep Cheep Beach, to be more specific. This tranquil seaside course first appeared in Mario Kart DS and returns in Mario Kart 8, looking more beautiful and vibrant than ever.

The towering, gleaming spires of Silvermoon might catch your attention, but if you look closer, you’ll see that there is a darker, seedier underbelly to this city.
